Announcement: The English Pronunciation Project

Hi again,

This is just to let you know that I'm creating a blog (yes, another one!) aimed at students who have difficulties with the pronunciation of English sounds, and willing to practice from home using just a computer and an internet connection.

The aformentioned blog is the following:

http://foneticainglesa.blogspot.com/

Remember: this is only a project, and although I'm going to try to update it as regularly as I can, I can't promise anything.

Enjoy it.

Unit 5. Grammar: Infinitive or Gerund?

Hi all,

Here's a link to a document you can download which complements the information from the book on Verbs followed by infinitive (with/without TO) or gerund (or both). As I told you in class, the information in the book is not enough, and I strongly recommend that you study the verbs in this document.

You can download the document by clicking on here.

Announcement: Language Swap

Hi all,

A fellow teacher, Alfonso Allepuz, has created a blog for those students interested in getting in touch with other English speakers and practising the language in their free time. Basically, the idea is exchanging your e-mail addresses with those contacts found in the blog, so that you can get in touch with the speakers and establish a relationship that will help you practise your English skills. Of course, you may end up becoming good friends, too!

This is a highly recommended project, as everyone now has the chance of chatting or even talking to native speakers using programs such as MSN Messenger, Skype or PalTalk (you'll need a microphone, too).

This is the URL to the Language Swap blog:

http://eoicartagenalanguageswap.blogspot.com/

Enjoy it. You can post your impressions in the Comments section, as usual.
